Job Summary
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery while safely handling and restraining animals with compassion. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates, and perform technical duties including lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. Maintain accurate medical records, assist with medication dispensing, and keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked. Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification required. Full-time Monday-Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays; salary $21.00-$25.00 per hour plus $2000 sign-on bonus. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
