Job Summary
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery while safely handling and restraining animals. Perform technical duties including lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates. Maintain accurate medical records, assist with medication dispensing, and keep exam rooms and equipment clean. Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. This full-time role includes a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with four 10-hour shifts and a set day off. No weekend hours are required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is preferred
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
