Job Summary
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery. Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion while performing technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates. Maintain accurate medical records, assist with medication dispensing, and keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked. Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. This role requires a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with experience in animal care and client communication. Schedule includes 4 days per week with 10-hour shifts, including weekend days.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
- 4 days per week 10 hour shifts
