Job Summary
Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures, including performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory testing, and sample collection. Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs and support surgical and dental procedures through preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and instrument care. Provide attentive nursing care for hospitalized, surgical, and recovering patients while monitoring their comfort, vital signs, and overall condition. Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pets' care and maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation. Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and stocked to support efficient hospital workflow.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant
- Strong animal-handling, restraint, and technical skills
- The ability to multitask and adapt in a busy clinical environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate approach to patient care
- Confidence assisting with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- A commitment to high-quality medicine and exceptional client service
- A desire to continue learning and strengthening your technical abilities
