Job Summary
Assist veterinarians during exams and patient care by safely restraining animals, administering injections, and performing in-house lab procedures such as blood draws and urinalysis. Educate clients on wellness and prevention plans while managing patient appointments from check-in to check-out. Provide reception and phone support as needed, clean and sterilize instruments, and maintain accurate lab records. This full-time role includes Monday through Friday hours from 8:15 am to 5:15 pm with no nights, weekends, or on-call. Licensure is not required; experience and capability matter more than credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 24
- High school diploma or GED
- Five or more years of veterinary technician experience preferred
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and basic veterinary care
- Excellent client communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working directly with pet owners in person and by phone
- Proficient with computers (Apple and Windows)
- Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with accurate record keeping
- Physically able to restrain larger pets when needed
- Team-focused, dependable, and professional
- Fluent in English
- Flexible, trainable, and open to clinic protocols
- Reliable transportation and weekday availability
Desired Qualifications
- Five or more years of veterinary technician experience preferred
