Job Summary
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients by administering treatments, medications, and monitoring recovery. Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and post-operative care. Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs, ensuring accurate results and timely processing. Engage with clients to communicate treatment plans and preventive care while maintaining detailed medical records. Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative environment. Work full-time with rotating Saturdays at VCA Allendale Animal Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician certification or be eligible to transfer/obtain a license in MI
- Proficiency in technical skills including surgery prep and monitoring anesthesia
