Job Summary
Deliver exceptional nursing care to feline patients using technical skills including diagnostic sample collection, catheter placement, venipuncture, radiography, and dental cleanings. Assist veterinarians with procedures, surgeries, anesthetic induction, and monitoring while obtaining health histories and ensuring accurate electronic medical record documentation. Master gentle handling techniques to soothe anxious cats and mentor newer team members. Maintain a patient, positive attitude while managing multiple tasks and adjusting to environmental changes. Requires 2 years of small animal clinical experience, proficiency in medical math, and the ability to monitor anesthesia. Join a feline-only practice dedicated to reducing cat anxiety through specialized care and continuous education.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- 2 years' professional experience in small animal clinical setting as a technician
- Superior technical knowledge and skills
- Proficient in medical math calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, conversions, etc.)
- You've got the gift of gab and can charm the whiskers off any cat owner with your exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasks
- Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude
- Must be able to monitor anesthesia
- Have the ability to adjust to changes in the environment and able to handle stress in a calm manner
- Be a team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude
- Be able to anticipate and be detail oriented due to the high level of quality medicine
