Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician at Emerald Hills Animal Hospital performing medical nursing duties under veterinarian supervision. Responsibilities include discharging patients, drawing blood, obtaining vitals, assisting with anesthesia and sedation, IV catheter placement and maintenance, drug administration, assisting with surgical and dental procedures including dental radiographs and charting, recognizing and reporting pain or distress, and assisting with emergency services (CPR, catheterization, intubation). Requires effective client and staff communication, ability to lift at least 50 lbs, capability to work with or without supervision, animal restraint, and strong organizational skills.
