Job Summary
Veterinary Technician Training Coordinator responsible for developing and supporting training for clinical support teams (veterinary technicians, assistants, client service representatives, kennel attendants) at SAVES in Asheville, NC. Role involves implementing and facilitating training programs aligned to hospital goals, onboarding new staff, creating engaging learning experiences using Ethos hospital resources and LMS, coaching on technical and professional skills, and evaluating training effectiveness. Approximately 75% of time spent on the hospital floor observing, coaching, training, and supporting colleagues with the remaining 25% on administrative tasks. Requires RVT/LVT/CVT credentials and 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience; strong communication, organizational, and project-management abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office and LMS; collaboration with leadership, HR, and recruiting to support workforce development; full-time schedule with flexibility to work days, swings, nights, and weekends as training needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
- 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience in a veterinary hospital, specialty practice, emergency hospital, or healthcare environment
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of veterinary workflows and patient care standards
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to coach, mentor, and inspire team members
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS)
