Job Summary
Provide veterinary patient care and support in a collaborative AAHA-accredited practice. Responsibilities include completing patient check-ins and treatments, collecting laboratory specimens, assisting veterinarians with examinations and procedures, performing dental prophylaxis, taking radiographs, assisting in surgeries, calculating drug dosages and preparing prescriptions, entering medical records in the Practice Management software, and delivering excellent client service and education. The role emphasizes teamwork with credentialed technicians, associate veterinarians, ABVP diplomates, and access to specialists, as the hospital offers advanced equipment and resources. Qualifications include experience as a veterinary technician and strong multitasking, detail-orientation, and client-service skills; CVT/LVT/RVT are preferred but not required. Required Qualifications
- CVT, LVT or RVT preferred, but not required
- Must be able to lift patients up to 40 pounds alone, and patients over 50 pounds with assistance
