Job Summary

Administer medication, manage and monitor patients during surgical procedures, and provide attentive pre and post op care and anesthesia recovery. Facilitate outpatient patient care including consultations and rechecks, while performing IV, IM, and subcutaneous injections, catheter placements, and advanced imaging such as radiographs. Assist with all types of surgery and procedures, set up and turnover operating rooms, and ensure surgical hygiene through instrument cleaning and sterilization. Communicate with clients regarding financial estimates and collect payments, while interfacing with other hospital departments as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician
  • Experienced Veterinary Technician
  • Safe patient restraint
  • Excellent client service
  • Phlebotomy and catheter placement
  • Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique
  • Proficient in post-op monitoring and care of surgical patients
  • Solid foundation of knowledge of common veterinary medications
  • Individualized, patient-focused nursing
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills
  • 4x10 hour shifts per week
  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:30am-5:30pm
  • Occasional on-call duties
