Job Summary
Supervise and mentor veterinary technicians and assistants while providing hands-on technical support in exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites with a focus on exotic species. Oversee staff training on exotic animal handling, diagnostics, and treatment protocols, and manage scheduling, performance evaluations, and hiring decisions. Collaborate with veterinarians to implement hospital protocols and maintain inventory and controlled substance logs. Support client education regarding exotic pet care. Full-time role with weekend rotation; salary $20.00-$28.00/hr based on licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Active CVT, RVT, LVT license
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
- Proficiency in anesthesia
- Proficiency in radiology
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures
- Proficiency in surgical prep/monitoring
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Active CVT, RVT, LVT license a plus
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
