Job Summary
Assist veterinarians in outpatient exams, surgery preparation, and in-house laboratory testing by obtaining samples, performing diagnostics, and administering medications. Monitor hospitalized pets, prepare patients for procedures, and maintain inventory while ensuring strict adherence to OSHA safety techniques and proper restraint methods. Clean exam rooms, restock supplies, and communicate patient plans and concerns to clients and the practice team to ensure high satisfaction and workflow efficiency. This role requires weekend availability and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with a competitive hourly rate of $25.00–$28.00. Required Qualifications
- Ability to work on weekends as required
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
- Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
- Basic math and the ability to calculate medication dosages
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications, etc.
- Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety
Desired Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
