Job Summary
Triage patients, obtain histories and vital signs, and perform initial assessments. Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures while providing nursing care from intake through discharge. Safely handle and restrain patients using low-stress techniques, prepare and administer medications, and perform venipuncture and diagnostic imaging including digital and dental radiographs. Run in-house laboratory testing, place IV catheters, and assist with anesthesia monitoring, surgical procedures, and dental care. Maintain accurate medical records and educate clients on treatment plans and preventive care.
Required Qualifications
- An active Registered Veterinary Technician credential
- Strong patient handling and restraint skills
- Proficiency in venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Experience performing laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
- Experience obtaining diagnostic radiographs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to educate clients clearly and compassionately
- The ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative, team-first mindset
- A positive, dependable, and proactive approach
- Empathy for patients, clients, coworkers, and yourself
- A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and excellent patient care

- Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, one Saturday a month
- Flexible scheduling with regular lunch breaks
- No nights, on-call shifts, or holiday hours
