Job Summary
Support veterinarians during examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures while providing compassionate nursing care and hands-on patient support. Use Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to promote patient comfort and safety, anticipating needs to maintain an efficient workflow. Welcome clients with warmth, answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage check-in, check-out, and payment processing. Educate clients on patient care, medications, and preventive measures while maintaining accurate records. Move confidently between clinical and client-service responsibilities as hospital needs change, participating in weekly and monthly meetings to strengthen team communication.
Required Qualifications
- Previous veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or client service experience
- The flexibility to transition between patient-care and reception responsibilities
- A calm, professional approach in a fast-paced environment
- A willingness to ask for help and offer help to others
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to efficient teamwork
- Compassion and patience when supporting clients through joyful, stressful, or emotional moments
