Job Summary
X-Ray radiology technician for Garden State Veterinary Services in Woodbridge, NJ. Responsible for overseeing radiographs in emergency and specialty cases, preparing and positioning patients for radiographs, attending to patient needs during imaging, and maintaining equipment and safety. Requires at least 1 year of veterinary technician experience, knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety, and strong communication and organizational skills. Collaborative, patient-centered team environment with a schedule of Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, 8am-7pm; salary $23-$34 per hour based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience as a veterinary technician
- Comfortable taking direction from doctors and technicians
- Updated knowledge of radiation protection and safety knowledge
- Prioritize patient’s depending on severity and time of admit
- Comprehensive understanding of the different radiograph techniques
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude
