Job Summary
Overnight Veterinary Technician in ER/ICU at Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii (VERC) performing triage, patient assessment with DVMs, diagnostics, treatments, catheter placement, lab sample processing, radiology imaging, anesthesia/sedation monitoring and recovery, and providing strong client care; schedule overnights Wednesday to Friday 7pm-7am; compensation $22-$32/hr; full-time benefits available; located in Honolulu, HI.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience as a veterinary technician in a progressive general practice and/or 1 year in a specialty practice
- Proficiency in patient monitoring equipment, laboratory processing, radiography, and anesthetic equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to calculate dosages and medication rates
- Ability to maintain composure in a high-performance environment
