Job Summary
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery while safely restraining animals and performing technical duties like lab work, radiographs, and IV catheter placement. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates, maintain accurate medical records, and assist with medication dispensing. Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready while following hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines. Required Qualifications
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is preferred not required
