Job Summary
Provide compassionate, cutting-edge neurological care to patients in a specialty hospital environment, working closely with specialists in emergency, critical care, internal medicine, and surgery. Manage admitted patients with nursing care and husbandry, while performing venipuncture, IV catheterization, and anesthesia protocols. Navigate client interactions with strong communication skills and demonstrate confidence in restraint procedures. This role requires 1-3 years of veterinary technician experience, with an anticipated schedule of four 10-hour days per week including weekend shifts and holidays. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $30.00 hourly, with additional pay for VTS certification. Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years Veterinary Technician experience
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Phlebotomy
- IV Catheterization (peripheral)
- Experience providing nursing care and husbandry for admitted patients
- Knowledge of basic laboratory tests
- Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
- Weekend shifts and holidays are required
- 4 days a week / 10-hour shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Associates in Veterinary Technology
- CVT license
- Experience with CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow
