Job Summary

Provide compassionate, cutting-edge neurological care to patients in a specialty hospital environment alongside experienced specialists and primary care veterinarians. Manage admitted patients with nursing care and husbandry, perform phlebotomy, IV catheterization, and assist with anesthesia protocols and surgical procedures. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team in Emergency, Critical Care, Radiology, and other specialties to deliver high-quality patient outcomes. Anticipated schedule includes 4 days a week with 10-hour shifts, including weekend rotations and holidays. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $30.00 hourly, with additional pay for VTS certification or active pursuit.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Veterinary Technician experience
  • Phlebotomy
  • IV Catheterization (peripheral)
  • Experience providing nursing care and husbandry for admitted patients
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory tests
  • Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply
  • Weekend shifts and holidays are required
  • 4 days a week / 10-hour shifts

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates in Veterinary Technology
  • CVT license
  • Experience with CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow
