Job Summary

Veterinary Neurology Technician responsible for assisting with neurologic examinations and patient assessments, support of patients with seizure disorders and neurologic conditions, high-level nursing care for hospitalized neurologic patients, and involvement in advanced anesthesia monitoring and diagnostic imaging workflows. You will prepare patients for neurology procedures and advanced diagnostics, perform anesthesia induction and monitoring, assist with neurosurgical cases, and support MRI/CT workflows while collaborating with Radiology, Surgery, ICU, and Emergency teams. The role includes maintaining accurate medical records, supporting continuity of care across Neurology, Surgery, Imaging, ICU, and Emergency services, and upholding high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence. You will engage in CPR and emergency response efforts, participate in long-term neurologic case management and recovery plans, and contribute to the training environment as you train alongside neurologists and specialists. Ideal candidates enjoy advanced medicine and complex neurologic cases, thrive in fast-paced settings, and aspire to pursue advanced specialty training or VTS credentials. The position offers mentorship, exposure to MRI/CT and neurosurgical cases, continuing education opportunities, and pathways for credentialed advancement in specialty medicine, located onsite at our Dunwoody, Georgia facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
  • Experience supporting patient care within Specialty, Emergency, ICU, Surgery, Anesthesia, or high-volume General Practice environments
  • Strong veterinary nursing and patient care skills
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and hospitalized patient care
  • Confidence with venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty referral environment
  • Preferred Qualifications: Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
  • Previous experience supporting Neurology, Neurosurgery, Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, or Diagnostic Imaging
  • Experience with advanced anesthesia monitoring
  • Familiarity with MRI and CT workflows
  • Ventilator management experience
  • RECOVER CPR Certification
  • Advanced training in Anesthesia, Emergency and Critical Care, or Specialty Medicine
