Job Summary
Neurology-focused veterinary technician role supporting the neurology team in a collaborative referral setting. Assist veterinarians during neurology appointments, prepare and recover patients through diagnostics and treatment, perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement, conduct medication calculations and administration, maintain accurate medical and anesthetic documentation, prepare specialty equipment, monitor anesthesia during advanced procedures including CT and MRI, assist with neurosurgical procedures, provide epidural support and advanced nursing care, and deliver compassionate, precise patient advocacy with strong client communication. Four 9–10 hour shifts per week with CE access, PTO, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Nurse in good standing (CVT, RVT, or LVT) required
- Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) certification is a plus
- Students currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program encouraged to apply
- 1–3 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical hospital setting preferred
- Strong technical skills in patient handling, anesthesia monitoring, and nursing care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in medical recordkeeping and documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
