Job Summary
Conduct high-quality anesthetic induction, monitoring, and maintenance for surgeries and advanced imaging while performing venipuncture, IV and urinary catheter placement. Accurately calculate and administer medications and fluid therapy for hospitalized patients, then assist with specialized surgeries, advanced imaging, and neurologic consultations. Perform thorough patient assessments documenting physical and behavioral changes, communicate updates clearly to the Neurologist and medical team, and support client education. Maintain medical records and patient data using practice management software, and prepare procedures requiring no direct veterinarian assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid RVT license in the state of California
- 2+ years in a specialty setting in the veterinary industry
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
