Job Summary

Coordinate the daily surgical plan, including case order, operating room assignments, and Veterinary Technician coverage. Actively manage surgery workflow and address challenges before they disrupt patient care or the daily schedule. Serve as a reliable point person for surgeons, remaining available on the hospital floor to support real-time workflow and patient care needs. Support and mentor Veterinary Technicians while leading by example and promoting consistent standards of care. Navigate complex medical and financial conversations, oversee advanced estimates, and guide clients through sensitive situations with clarity and compassion. Manage surgical equipment and implant logistics, including troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating urgent and specialty implant orders, and tracking and returning surgical implants. Proactively monitor future bookings to identify scheduling conflicts or inappropriate case placement. Monitor the Surgery team inbox and Chewy portal to help ensure timely communication and follow-through. Collaborate with Surgery team members to support advanced specialty medicine, anesthesia, patient care, and an efficient surgical service. Work four 10-hour weekday shifts as a full-time employee in Williston, VT.
