Job Summary
Veterinary Technician in Internal Medicine needed at SAGE Dublin. Responsibilities include assisting with diagnostic procedures (blood work, imaging, endoscopy), providing compassionate care and monitoring for internal medicine patients, administering medications and IV fluids under veterinarian supervision, maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring sterilization of equipment, assisting veterinarians during procedures such as biopsies and cytology, communicating with pet owners about conditions and treatment options, staying updated through continuing education, collaborating with other veterinary professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, and performing other duties as assigned. Compensation is based on role and experience (RVT $30-$40/hr; VA $26-$34/hr). Work schedule is 4/10 with Monday–Friday availability and weekend coverage. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- General understanding and experience with small animal restraint with a focus on cats and dogs
- Calm, professional demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable time management and problem-solving skills; working efficiently and effectively throughout the hospital
- Multi-task various duties and responsibilities in a timely and reliable manner, with appropriate follow-through and accuracy
- Understand and follow established hospital processes and procedures (i.e. SOPs)
- Able to work well independently as well as with a team
- Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology
- Valid and current Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California
- Experience in Specialty Veterinary Medicine, with a focus on internal medicine
