Job Summary
Veterinary Technician for Internal Medicine at SAGE Redwood City supports diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic/complex cases in companion animals. Duties include assisting with diagnostic procedures (blood work, radiographs, CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and cystoscopy), administering medications and IV fluids, wound care, client communication about conditions and treatment options, maintaining medical records and equipment, assisting veterinarians during procedures (biopsies and cytology), and staying updated through continuing education while collaborating with other veterinary professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 3+ years experience in veterinary specialty veterinary medicine
- High level of anesthesia fluency
- Calm, professional demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable time management and problem-solving skills
- Mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates
