Job Summary
ICU Veterinary Technician role supporting neurosurgical recoveries and advanced post-operative care in a structured ICU at Ethos Veterinary Health. Independently manage post-surgical and specialty ICU patients, including overnight care, monitor advanced pain protocols and CRIs, support anesthetic recovery for high-acuity cases, administer blood products, and communicate with Criticalists and specialty teams. Maintain detailed medical documentation and provide clear client communication during critical hospitalizations. The position focuses on daytime and overnight ICU coverage with a 3x12-hour shift schedule; RVT-level technicians and those pursuing VTS credentials are prioritized, with a sign-on bonus and strong growth pathways within a Level 1–3 framework.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years ER or specialty ICU experience
- Demonstrated competency in CRI setup and management
- CRIs and advanced pain protocol knowledge
- Blood product administration
- Neurologic patient monitoring
- Independent clinical decision-making within scope
- RVT license or eligibility (reimbursement for license-related costs)
