Job Summary
Provide skilled veterinary technician support to veterinarians during exams, surgeries, anesthesia, and recovery; perform lab work, radiographs, injections, IV catheter placement; maintain medical records; communicate with clients; ensure safety and regulatory guidelines; keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
- Supports veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery
- Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing
- Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready
