Job Summary
As a Veterinary Technician at GoodVets, you will support veterinarians with surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, radiographic imaging, venipuncture and IV catheter placement, diagnostics, and patient assessments, while ensuring compassionate care and clear client communication. You will assist in surgical preparation, dental procedures, and laboratory work, contribute to patient recordkeeping and education, and help maintain a clean, organized hospital environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, initiative, and ongoing professional growth, with the potential for flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Licensure such as CVT or RVT is preferred but not required, and a background in veterinary surgical/anesthesia support is valued. Compensation is $19-$23 per hour, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, and employee discounts. This on-site position is based in Austin, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- CVT or RVT license preferred but not required
- Prior surgical and anesthesia experience in a veterinary clinical setting
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
