Job Summary
Provide compassionate nursing care, obtain patient histories, and collect vital signs while performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration. Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments, ensuring accurate drug calculations and detailed medical record maintenance. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care plans and support hospital efficiency through cross-departmental teamwork. This full-time role in Lawrence, MA, includes four 9-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM with rotating weekends. Candidates receive comprehensive benefits including VTNE reimbursement, VTS support, continuing education, and a uniform allowance. Work alongside experienced general practitioners within a collaborative multi-specialty hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting
- Strong technical veterinary nursing skills
- Ability to perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement confidently
- Knowledge of medication administration and drug calculations
- Strong communication and client service skills
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills
