Job Summary
Assist veterinarians with routine general practice procedures including exams, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, venipuncture, and catheter placement. Support surgeries such as spay/neuter and mass removals while managing patient intake, client communication, and education. Help coordinate patient flow and appointments in a fast-paced setting and collaborate with the GP team to shape workflows and best practices from day one. This full-time role at Portland Vet Stroudwater begins with a flexible Monday-Thursday schedule (7:30am to 6pm) starting September 2026, with potential for future changes. The newly built facility features onsite diagnostics including CBC, chemistries, cytologies, digital radiography, and ultrasound. We seek a licensed or credentialed veterinary technician with at least 12 years of small animal practice experience to help launch this expanding general practice.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed/Credentialed veterinary technician
- Minimum 1 2 years of experience in small animal practice including surgery
- Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Comfortable using practice management software and diagnostic equipment
- Demonstrates compassion, teamwork, initiative, and respect
- No weekends or major holidays
- Flexible 4-day schedule to start, set schedule of Monday - Thursday (7:30am to 6pm) schedule as of September 2026
- Potential for schedule change or start time change in future, or weekend day with growth
