Job Summary
Key member of our surgical team supporting anesthesia monitoring, patient assessments, imaging, and client communications from pre-surgical through post-operative stages. Responsibilities include assisting with surgical admissions and rechecks, radiographs, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, maintaining aseptic technique, sterile scrub duties, accurate medical-record documentation, and discharge instructions. Provide compassionate nursing care, support hospitalized and emergency transfer patients, and participate in continuous learning with mentorship and credentialing opportunities. This is a first-shift, full-time role at Avets in Monroeville, PA, offering a $1,500 hiring bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Foundational veterinary knowledge (patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, venipuncture)
- Fluent English (spoken & reading)
- Excellent communication and teamwork
