Job Summary
Provide skilled veterinary patient care as part of a full-time Veterinary Technician on a hospital team. Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery; safely restraining and handling animals; communicating care instructions to clients; performing lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement; maintaining medical records and assisting with medication dispensing; and keeping exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and compliant with safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
