Job Summary
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery. Safely handle and restrain animals while performing technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates. Maintain accurate medical records, assist with medication dispensing, and keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked. Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. Nights 7 PM-7 AM with rotational scheduling, including holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
