Job Summary
Emergency veterinary technician sought to join Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists’ ECC team at Buzzards Bay and Dennis, MA. Work 4 x 10-hour shifts, including days, swings, weekends, and holiday rotations, split between Buzzards Bay and Dennis locations. Responsibilities include emergency triage, stabilization, inpatient care, and discharge; perform advanced nursing duties such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesia monitoring; collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to deliver gold-standard care in a fast-paced environment; support clinicians during procedures with induction, prep, monitoring, and recovery; communicate clearly with team members and pet owners. The role requires CVT/LVT/RVT or licensure within 6 months and emphasizes veterinary emergency experience; Recover certification or VTS ECC credentials are a plus. The hospital offers a compensation range of $22-$32 per hour, a sign-on bonus up to $2,500, comprehensive benefits, and continuing education opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Current CVT, LVT, or RVT (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months)
- Veterinary emergency experience essential
- RECOVER certification and/or VTS ECC credentials a plus (or strong desire to pursue specialization)
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
