Job Summary
Provide compassionate nursing care to critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, administer medications, and manage fluid therapy while assisting with emergency diagnostics, anesthesia, and surgical procedures. Monitor vital signs, perform patient assessments, and accurately document treatments in medical records. Safely restrain patients and communicate effectively with veterinarians, specialists, and clients regarding care plans. Assist with admissions, discharges, and client education while maintaining clean, organized treatment areas. Work alongside Emergency, Critical Care, and Specialty teams in a collaborative environment offering advanced nephrology and urology services.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) preferred
- Experienced Veterinary Technicians with a minimum of two years of veterinary experience
- Emergency, specialty, or critical care experience
- Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, medication administration, and patient monitoring
- Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, radiology safety, fluid therapy, and emergency patient care
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and commitment to fostering a positive team culture
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experienced Veterinary Technicians with a minimum of two years of veterinary experience are encouraged to apply
