Job Summary
Triage emergency patients, perform venipuncture and IV placement, monitor hospitalized animals, and administer treatments while running in-house laboratory and diagnostic testing. Assist with emergency procedures and surgery, monitor anesthesia, and recover patients, all while communicating with doctors to ensure seamless care and providing support to clients during stressful situations. This role requires three years of veterinary experience, a licensed status preferred, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Shifts are full-time, three 12-hour days from 8am to 8pm with weekend and rotating on-call availability. At Pet Emergency & Referral Center, you will practice advanced skills alongside board-certified specialists in a collaborative environment focused on mentorship and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced in veterinary medicine (minimum 3 years required)
- Comfortable prioritizing and triaging emergency cases
- Calm under pressure with strong critical thinking skills
- Flexible and excited to cross-train throughout the hospital
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and team-focused
- Passionate about learning and delivering exceptional patient care
- Able to read and communicate effectively in English
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed (LVT/CVT/RVT) preferred but not required
- Additional language skills are a plus
