Job Summary
ER Veterinary Technician role providing vital support to veterinarians in emergency and critical care. Assist with treatments and procedures, monitor critically ill or injured patients, collaborate to ensure around-the-clock care, offer compassionate client support, administer medications, assist with diagnostics such as bloodwork and imaging, maintain accurate patient records, monitor and maintain medical equipment, communicate with pet owners about updates and treatment plans, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition. Schedule options: Full-Time - 4/10 schedule (Sunday - Wednesday 10AM - 8:30PM) or (Sunday-Thursday 7AM-5:30PM). Based in Campbell, CA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU setting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
