Job Summary
Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technician role at Allied Veterinary Specialists (AVS) in NE Florida (Orange Park/Jacksonville) focused on emergency and critical care nursing. Responsibilities include providing nursing care to emergency and hospitalized patients, triage, monitoring of critical patients, administering medications and treatments (CRIs, blood products), assisting with emergency procedures and advanced diagnostics, collaboration with ER/ICU/Surgery/Internal Medicine and Specialty teams, and maintaining accurate medical records. Preferred CVT/LVT/RVT certifications, advanced anesthesia monitoring, and experience with ezyVet or VetRadar are noted but not required. Schedule options include 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 12:00 PM–10:00 PM with overnight differential opportunities; benefits include continuing education support and leadership development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years Emergency, ICU, or Specialty Veterinary Technician experience
- Strong understanding of emergency patient stabilization and critical care monitoring
- Experience working in a fast-paced veterinary emergency environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
