Veterinary Technician - Contingent

Emergency Veterinary Technician for a contingent, as-needed role in MedVet’s emergency/specialty team. Responsibilities include recording and delivering organized rounds, evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing care, collaborating with the patient care team on treatment plans and client communication, providing client education on home care, medications, and general wellness updates, assisting DVM with patient assessment, treatment and procedures, providing nursing care to hospitalized patients, inducing and monitoring anesthesia and sedation, and performing in-house laboratory testing while preparing samples for outside labs. Must have prior veterinary experience with strong drug calculation skills, versatility to work in a fast-paced ER environment, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
