Job Summary
Coordinate daily receiving schedules, obtain diagnostic ECG recordings, and perform non-invasive blood pressure monitoring while maintaining vitals in Stringsoft. Assist with echocardiography procedures, including animal restraint and image transfer, and manage centesis and aspirates for cytology and fluid analysis. Administer medications via PO, SQ, IM, or IV routes, place IV catheters, and perform digital radiographs for cardiology patients. Manage Holter and event monitors, hook up patients, and organize returned equipment for data submission. Support invasive cardiovascular services by assisting with surgical suite setup, sterile supply presentation, and fluoroscopic measurements. Collect blood and urine samples, run in-house labs, and submit specimens to clinical pathology or outside facilities. Schedule appointments, prepare cost estimates, and relay lab results and status updates to clients and referring veterinarians. Maintain cardiology inventory, clean workspaces, and participate in continuous education to advance veterinary cardiology practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years working in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Technician
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can treat them compassionately even when they are stressed, ill or in pain

Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Veterinary Technology and/or Animal Science preferred
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred
- Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) desirable
- Prior experience working in specialty medicine preferred
- Advanced training and credentialing such as becoming a VTS is strongly encouraged
