Job Summary
Assist veterinarians in outpatient exams, surgery, and general patient care by taking histories, administering medications, and monitoring anesthesia. Perform in-house laboratory work, obtain specimens, and develop radiographs while maintaining inventory and cleaning medical equipment. Provide client education regarding procedures and ensure calm, professional interactions with patients and owners. Every other Saturday shift is required. Pay range is $16.50 to $18.50 per hour. Required Qualifications
- Ability to work on weekends as required
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
- Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
- Basic math and the ability to calculate medication dosages
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications, etc.
- Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety
Desired Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
