Job Summary
Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in a polite and timely manner while processing laboratory samples for patients across specialty services. Assist technicians and veterinarians with patient treatments, including vital signs monitoring, radiographs, and preparation for procedures in surgery, oncology, and internal medicine. Perform various handling techniques to support examinations and treatments throughout the hospital. Full-time positions require regular evening and weekend shifts, rotating holiday shifts, and are available within specialty services. Compensation ranges from $15.50 to $19 per hour with shift differentials for evening work.
Required Qualifications
- 1 or more years' experience in a veterinary practice (receptionist, vet assistant, other)
- Professional, pleasant, engaged, clear communicator who is attentive and respectful to referring veterinarians, clients, and co-workers
- Must be able to follow direction, balance multiple tasks, be confident, and prioritize tasks appropriately
- Must possess basic math skills and understanding of medical terminology
- All schedules require regular evening and weekend shifts
- All schedules require rotating holiday shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Willingness to learn veterinary technical skills a plus
