Job Summary
Veterinary Technician/Assistant in a full-time role at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. Responsibilities include assisting staff Doctors and fellow veterinary technicians, restraining animals for examinations, monitoring hospitalized pets, taking X-rays, collecting urine and fecal samples, cleaning and maintaining clinic spaces, performing data entry, and supporting other departments as needed. Requires effective communication, ability to read/interpret technical procedures, and basic computer skills (ShelterLuv, Microsoft Office). Requires High School Diploma or GED and prior experience in animal handling or related field. May assist in euthanasia if certified; physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and handling animals in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous work experience or schooling in Animal Handling, Animal Medicine or other related field
