Job Summary
Veterinary Technician sought to join a collaborative three-doctor Animal Care Center in Baxter, MN. Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians, maintaining patient medical records, preparing procedures, restraining and handling pets, performing lab tests and imaging, administering injections and medications, dental prophylaxis, and client education. Role supports a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, with opportunities for after-hours on-call stipend and time-and-a-half pay when called. Monday–Friday, no regular evening/weekend shifts for core hours; optional after-hours weekend on-call. Compensation $18–$23/hour based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree from a two-year veterinary technology program accredited by the AVMA
- Licensing requirements vary by state for Veterinary Technicians
- Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician National Examination (AAVSB) where required by state
- State-recognized veterinary technician certification (CVT, LVT, or RVT) in good standing
