Job Summary
The Anesthesia Technician provides specialized, high-quality care for patients undergoing anesthetic procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and monitoring tools, performing pre-anesthetic assessments, administering anesthesia under established protocols, monitoring vital parameters during procedures, and providing post-anesthesia recovery care. The role requires strong anesthesia skills, airway management, patient monitoring, IV catheter placement, and collaboration across multiple veterinary teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment, and communicates effectively with doctors, clients, and staff while contributing to high-quality patient care. Continuous learning and teamwork are emphasized, with opportunities for professional development such as VTS certification and tuition support.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Veterinary Technician experience (general practice, ECC, or specialty)
- Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia experience
- LVT certification preferred
- Strong anesthesia, airway management, and patient monitoring skills
- Ability to perform IV catheter placement and manage complex or critical cases
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
- Effective communication skills with doctors, clients, and team members
- Fluent English (speaking & reading) required; multilingual a plus
