Job Summary
Assist the Veterinarian in diagnosing and treating pets in a small animal practice while maintaining medical charts, preparing procedures, and supporting patient care. Duties include restraining animals during exams, collecting histories, preparing samples for diagnostic tests, performing laboratory work, taking X-rays, administering injections and vaccines under supervision, preparing patients and equipment for surgery, educating clients on pet health, and supporting a collaborative, quality-driven care environment. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency with basic computer software used in veterinary practices. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma/GED
- 1+ years of veterinary medicine experience
- Knowledge of veterinary hospital practices and procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Confidentiality handling

- Client communication
- Basic drug knowledge in veterinary practice
- Basic medical equipment and terminology
- Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Practice Management software (PIMS)
