Job Summary
Prepare surgical and cath lab suites for procedures by setting up instruments, stocking supplies, and assembling sterile packs. Monitor anesthesia and animal vitals during interventions while administering medications intra-procedure and performing euthanasia. Collect and process laboratory samples for analysis, assist with fluoroscopy and 3D imaging equipment, and maintain surgical instruments through washing, drying, and proper storage. Operate gas anesthesia machines, autoclaves, and other surgical equipment routinely utilized. Maintain an efficient and clean work area by organizing and re-stocking cath labs, operating rooms, and the general storeroom as needed. Provide customer service to clients through professional interactions and by responding to client requests.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline
- Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology
- 0-2 years related work experience
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or ALAT certification
- Knowledge of research animal physiology, pharmacology and general animal care
