Job Summary
Serve as the dedicated ASPCA representative at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine by staying informed on student externship opportunities and building relationships with peer groups. Act as a liaison to the Campus Relations Director, providing information on campus events and collaborating on logistical planning for workshops, presentations, and career fairs. Promote upcoming opportunities to student groups, develop written communications about the ASPCA, and foster engagement through outreach. Dedicate an average of three hours weekly during the semester to fulfill these responsibilities while maintaining academic excellence.
Required Qualifications
- In good academic standing
- Strong belief in the Mission and Core Values of the ASPCA
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with peers
- Active membership in at least one student group related to the core work of the ASPCA
- Not currently a student Representative for another veterinary or animal welfare organization, non-profit, or company
- Ability to dedicate an average of 3 hours a week during the semester to fulfilling the responsibilities of an ASPCA Student Representative
- Ability to work independently (self-starter)
- High level of maturity and professionalism
- Access to a computer for virtual meetings and email correspondence
- Ability to temporarily store informational and promotional items to be passed out on campus to CVM peers
- Language: English (required)
- Currently enrolled as a veterinary student at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine
- High School Diploma (Required)
Desired Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates in their 2nd through 6th semesters of education
