Job Summary
Conduct active participation in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, sick patient workups, and routine medical appointments under supervision. Engage in case discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on patient care across GP, ER, and specialty settings while discussing findings with a supervising veterinarian to verify exam results. Gain diverse clinical experience in dogs, cats, and exotics at Crossroads Animal Hospital, a full-service facility offering ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, and wellness care in Alabama.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current veterinary student at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Must provide proof of professional liability insurance
- Must be in their clinical years
- Must be on official externship blocks for school credit
